Mental Testamentary Capacity Assessments
We often provide mental capacity assessments to instruct solicitors, manage financial affairs, fitness to plead as well as court of protection (COP3) assessments. We also regularly provide psychiatric reports in Wills & Probate matters, assessing mental capacity prior to individuals making will. Our experts are also able to provide desktop reports in contested will cases, providing expert opinion on mental capacity retrospectively reviewing medical notes. Our expert psychiatrists which include a number of experienced Older Adult Psychiatrists are happy to travel to see clients at their homes or nursing homes across the UK. We also provide desktop reports in cases involving contested Wills look at mental health, suggestibility and in some cases the effects of substance misuse on clients in the days prior to making wills. We can normally provide psychiatric reports within one week of appointment and our expert psychiatrists are able to undertake psychiatric assessments at consulting rooms local to the client, solicitors offices and clients homes.
